Tsunami threat over and warning cancelled in Fiji - 4 Jan 2017

The Seismology Section of the Fiji Mineral Resource Department in collaboration with the Pacific Tsunami Warning Centre (PTWC) issued a bulletin on 4 January 2017 at 12:15PM (GMT+13) informing the public that the Tsunami threat to the whole Fiji Group is over and the warning earlier issued has been cancelled.

An earthquake occurred at 10:53AM Fiji local time (GMT+13) on 4 January 2017. PTWC reported the following earthquake parameters in their final update:
