The Serval Mesh project was one of the winners of the DFAT Innovation Xchange 2016 initiative and the pilot is currently being rolled out in Vanuatu. Dr Paul Gardner-Stephen (Flinders University of South Australia) demonstrated the Serval Mesh prototype at the Regional Pacific ETC Workshops in Samoa (2016) and Vanuatu (2017). Red Cross New Zealand is working closely with Flinders University on the project.
