A 7.8-magnitude earthquake struck northern Ecuador on 16 April 2016, at 7 pm local time. It was the largest quake to hit the country since 1979.

Samaritan's Purse is establishing an Emergency Field Hospital in San Vicente.

Our assessment states that electric, water and communication facilities are very limited and dysfunctional.  We are trying to establish a shared Telecom resource (VSAT) for the NGO commmunity to share.  If anyone has information about Ecuador telecom import restrictions, please let me know.
