Gaza, beyond the ceasefire

Two years since the Emergency Telecommunications Cluster (ETC) was activated in Gaza, the need for connectivity remains as urgent as ever.

While the ceasefire offers a moment of relief, it hasn’t restored access. Telecom networks are still fragile, and families returning home face little to no coverage, with reliable internet out of reach. This digital isolation hampers not only personal communication but also humanitarian coordination and access to lifesaving information.

ETC and its partners continue working to secure import approvals for essential equipment—a process that remains slow but critical. Connectivity is more than infrastructure; it’s a lifeline for responders and communities alike.

Communication saves lives. We won’t stop pushing to restore it.
